Brisbane is set to host the exclusive global debut of The Art of Banksy: Chapter 2, an exhibition that promises to be the most expansive and immersive exploration of the legendary street artist’s work ever mounted. Following a decade of touring its initial iteration across 35 international cities, this newly reimagined collection begins its journey right here at Uptown, Queen Street Mall, on November 5, 2025.
This new chapter, presented by Muse Entertainment and Fever, has doubled in size to an impressive 1,550 square metres. It is set to redefine the encounter with Banksy, transforming the subversive energy of street art into a museum-quality experience. The curatorial effort boasts over 300 artworks—three times the number in previous editions—including more than 100 original pieces, alongside never-before-seen sculptures, installations, and cutting-edge digital mapping and hologram displays.
The exhibition is not merely a retrospective; it’s an elevated narrative that celebrates Banksy as a pivotal living figure in contemporary art. It unveils fresh stories behind some of his most iconic and satirical works, such as the evocative pieces from Dismaland, the poignant imagery of London Zoo, and the infamous Ice Cream Van. As Kemal Gurkaynak, Managing Director of Muse Entertainment, notes, “This is not just about art, it’s about stepping inside Banksy’s world and experiencing the message, the humour, and the urgency of his work in a way that has never been done before.”
In a move true to the artist’s humanitarian principles, a portion of the exhibition’s proceeds will be donated to the M.V. Louise Michel organisation, an independent high-speed lifeboat dedicated to migrant rescue in the Mediterranean—a vessel originally funded by the sale of Banksy artwork.
