A sixth Riverfire fireworks barge is going in directly opposite W Brisbane this year — here's how to turn the night into a full evening at The Lex and Living Room Bar.
Your Riverfire Seat Is Booked: Inside W Brisbane's 2026 Itinerary
Riverfire is adding a sixth fireworks barge to the Brisbane River this year — and it's going in directly opposite W Brisbane, putting the hotel among the best-positioned vantage points in the city for the night. Rather than fighting the South Bank crowds, W Brisbane has built out two ticketed experiences that turn the fireworks into a full evening: dinner with a view at The Lex, and a late-night after-party at Living Room Bar once the sky's gone quiet again.
Riverfire at The Lex — Smooth Like Velvet
The Lex is running a four-course Riverfire set menu with front-row river views, live jazz from 6pm to 8pm, and an arrival Nosferatu cocktail (or mocktail) to start. The menu leans local — think Moreton Bay lobster roll and grilled Queensland reef fish — with the flyover, water displays and fireworks all visible from the table. Early and late sittings mean you can catch the show either side of dinner.
Riverfire at Living Room Bar — Midnight in Manhattan
For an adults-only wind-down once the fireworks are done, Living Room Bar's after-party runs from 8:30pm to 10pm with live entertainment, a late-night menu and signature cocktails — including the Ruby Affair, a mix of Absolut Elyx, Cointreau, cranberry, lime and saline. It's tucked away from the main Riverfire foot traffic, for anyone after a quieter finish to the night.
Living Room Bar operates as usual outside event hours, for anyone who'd rather skip the set itinerary and just drop by.
