PARK RD Announce Second Album Boyhood, Share New Single "Fatal" With Molly Millington

Alt-pop four-piece PARK RD have announced their second album, Boyhood, out November 6, alongside new single "Fatal" featuring Sydney musician Molly Millington.

Alt-pop four-piece PARK RD have announced their second studio album, Boyhood, out November 6 — sharing the record's latest single, "Fatal," a collaboration with fellow Sydney musician Molly Millington.

Written half in New Zealand and finished after the band's move to Australia, Boyhood is eleven songs built around the coming-of-age years Tom, Leo, TK and Carlos are currently living through — a lighter indie-pop sound the band points to Fontaines D.C., The 1975 and Ryan Beatty as touchstones for. "It feels like an accumulation of our lives as friends and the relationships happening in the close circles around us," the band said of the record. "We have romance in there, we have songs about music, stories of good times as well as the bad times."

"Fatal" arrives after three months of steady touring through the band's new home city of Sydney, where they first crossed paths with Millington — playing the track live together at King Street Crawl and Pleasure Club before it existed as a recording. The accompanying video, directed by Hattie Salmon and shot entirely on a tape camcorder, follows the pair dancing through an old hall, choreographed by Minyu Vandenberg.

Boyhood is out November 6. "Fatal" featuring Molly Millington is streaming now.
