Small-batch Queensland confectionery has found a chic new coastal home with the arrival of Noosa Chocolate Factory at Village on Hastings.

Queensland confectionery heavyweight Noosa Chocolate Factory has officially set its sights on the premier coastal strip, opening the doors to its brand-new boutique store and café at Village on Hastings (Bay Village) this Saturday, 3 October at 9:00 am.

Located mere footsteps from the sun-drenched sands of Noosa Main Beach, the opening marks the sixth outpost for the homegrown brand, which began in 2009 in a humble Noosaville kitchen before expanding across South East Queensland—including beloved spots in Brisbane City, Chermside, and Sunshine Plaza.

Beachside Chic Meets Old-School Craft

While long-time devotees know and love the working industrial vibe of the brand's flagship factory and café on Venture Drive in Noosaville, the new Hastings Street outpost leans into a casually chic, coastal aesthetic.

The light-filled space features multi-toned timber floors, bespoke handmade cabinetry, and seating for 10 to 15 guests. A wide window counter looks directly out over Hastings Street, offering front-row people-watching as beachgoers, locals, and boutique shoppers drift by.

"We've been really welcomed into the fold by neighbouring businesses, and we haven't opened the doors yet," said Marcus Raward, Chief Executive Officer of Noosa Chocolate Factory. The Real Deal: Serious Chocolate Drinks & Padre Coffee

The beverage program skips commercial cocoa mixes entirely, melting fresh chocolate drops straight into steaming milk. Guests can calibrate their exact cocoa percentage across five dedicated blends:

• 29% White Chocolate
• 36% Milk Chocolate
• 54% Semi-Dark
• 73% Dark
• 90% Extra Dark (for the true cocoa purist)

Hot and iced chocolate drinks made with their cult-favourite Rocky Road will also be in heavy rotation, alongside vegan and dairy-free options. To round out the café credentials, espresso is pulled with beans roasted locally by Noosaville favourite Padre Coffee—and in true Noosa Chocolate Factory fashion, every beverage ordered comes with a complimentary chocolate sample on the side.

Palm-Oil Free & Small-Batch Slabs

Behind the glass, visitors will find fresh, small-batch stock replenished regularly straight from the nearby Noosaville factory. Handcrafted according to traditional recipes tracing back to 1920s chocolatier Charles Thomson, the entire range remains palm oil- and preservative-free.
