“Jeremy’s work sits at a really interesting intersection of art and design. For Vivid, we wanted to create something that feels immersive but still personal — where people can experience light in a more intimate way, and ultimately live with it beyond the gallery.”
Jay Lyon, founder of ART+ Gallery
There’s Vivid Sydney, and then there’s Resinate — the new exhibition by Byron-based contemporary artist Jeremy Kay, now open at ART+ Gallery on Macleay Street, Potts Point, through to 5 June 2026.
Where much of Vivid is spectacle at scale, Resinate offers something quieter and arguably more powerful: an intimate, collectible, design-led encounter with light as art. Kay’s practice is built around resin — not as a finishing medium, but as the work itself. Layered, luminous and responsive to its environment, each piece shifts and glows depending on how light falls across it, drawing viewers into what can only be described as a sensory, almost hypnotic experience.

For the opening night, ART+ was completely transformed — the gallery reimagined as a dynamic visual landscape where colour and reflection filled every corner. Two international DJs, Lady Bug and Bella Backe, set the tone, while acclaimed Sydney restaurant Franca provided catering for what became a distinctly after-dark cultural event.
The Works
The exhibition presents two formats of Kay’s illuminated resin pieces: square works from $4,000 AUD and round works from $12,500 AUD. Each is handcrafted using layered resin techniques, creating depth and luminosity that makes them equally suited to collectors, interior designers and architectural environments. These are not gallery pieces destined for storage — they are made to live with.
Why It Matters
ART+ Gallery has built its reputation around redefining how and where people engage with contemporary art, with a focus on blue-chip photography and culturally relevant works. Resinate continues that mission — but with the added energy of Vivid as a backdrop, it also signals something broader: that the most compelling experiences of this year’s festival may not be found on the harbour, but in the quieter streets of Potts Point, where light becomes something you can take home.
Resinate is open at ART+ Gallery, Macleay Street, Potts Point, Sydney, until 5 June 2026. Visit artplusgallery.co for details. Media enquiries: elizabeth@doyenpr.com.au
