James Blunt's first new music since 2023's Who We Used To Be arrives with 'Tastes Like Summer,' produced by Red Triangle and released through Atlantic Records.
James Blunt has returned with "Tastes Like Summer," his first new music since 2023's acclaimed album Who We Used To Be. Recorded with his touring live band, the single is produced by Red Triangle (Richard Parkhouse and George Tizzard), the pair behind recent work for Bastille, Sabrina Carpenter, Yungblud and David Guetta, and was written by Blunt alongside the production duo.
"'Tastes Like Summer' binds the joy of summer to the joy of being attracted to someone," Blunt said of the track, which was recorded in the UK at Pig Music Studios in Banbury and on the beach in Dorset, and is released through his longtime label, Atlantic Records.
The release follows a run of career milestones for the singer-songwriter. In 2024, Blunt marked the 20th anniversary of his debut album Back to Bedlam, one of the best-selling records of the 2000s, and his sold-out UK arena tour last February drew glowing reviews that reaffirmed his reputation as one of his generation's most entertaining live performers.
Blunt's connection to Australian audiences runs deep: he has racked up more than 250 million local streams and 27 times ARIA Platinum certification across his catalogue here, numbers that place "Tastes Like Summer" firmly on the radar for local fans awaiting his next full-length release.
"Tastes Like Summer" is out now via Atlantic Records.
