Insidious: Out Of The Further Is Now Playing in Cinemas

The Insidious franchise — which has now crossed $800 million at the global box office — is back with a new family and a fresh twist on the terror that's defined the series since it began.

Insidious: Out Of The Further follows Gemma (Amelia Eve), a young mother raising her daughter in the house she grew up in, who discovers she has the ability to travel into The Further — the purgatorial realm of lost souls at the centre of the Insidious universe. But Gemma's gift goes further than any protagonist before her: she doesn't just enter The Further, she can bring what lives there back into the real world. Once the demons realise what she's capable of, our world becomes their playground.

Lin Shaye reprises her iconic role as Elise Rainier, alongside Brandon Perea. The film is directed by Jacob Chase (Come Play), with a screenplay by Chase and a story by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick and Chase, based on characters created by Leigh Whannell. It's produced by the Blumhouse team behind the franchise's success — Jason Blum, Oren Peli, James Wan and Leigh Whannell.
