Brisbane, Australia — Forget everything you thought you knew about Korean BBQ. Since opening its doors in April, Marble Korean Steakhouse has done more than just enter Brisbane’s competitive dining scene—it has ignited a quiet revolution, setting a scorching new standard for premium Asian dining in Australia.
Led by co-owner Vanessa Devine and visionary chef Simon Kang, Marble is the definitive answer for a city seeking a sophisticated dining experience that dares to break the mould. Their mission is clear: to elevate Korean flavours and the art of the steakhouse to a level of reverence previously reserved for elite European cuisines.

The Art of the Immersive Steakhouse
At Marble, the dining experience is a controlled, dramatic affair. Korean BBQ is transformed from a casual pursuit into an immersive, theatrical performance. The focus is uncompromising: premium Australian beef, treated with the respect of haute couture and cooked tableside by a team trained in precision.
The restaurant has quickly become a must-book destination for Brisbane’s most discerning beef lovers, but its founders refuse to be simply classified as a steakhouse. The philosophy is pure ambition: to create a dining movement built on fire, instinct, and a deep, intentional respect for high-end produce.
“Australia is ready for a new language of Korean dining,” says Vanessa Devine. “Not louder, just smarter, sharper, more intentional.”
The Architects of Disruption
The restaurant’s rebel-meets-refinement identity comes directly from its founders. Devine brings the vision, pushing Korean dining into a bold, expressive, and unmissable new era. Chef Kang brings the mastery, transforming premium cuts into edible performance art with his instinctive cooking style.
This dual force is what makes Marble a cultural shift, not just a venue. It’s a space that unapologetically celebrates its Korean roots, embraces world-class Australian produce, and delivers an experience so evocative that it lingers long after the smoke clears.
“Korean food has always been extraordinary,” adds Simon Kang. “We’re simply giving it the stage it deserves.”
With national attention building and a devoted community of diners growing, Marble Korean Steakhouse is cementing its status as the pinnacle of brilliance and beef—a dining experience that refuses to behave like anything you’ve encountered before.
