The nine-time Tony Award-winning musical comedy has returned to Brisbane for its first season since 2015. Tickets from $69, with best availability from 1 September.
The Book of Mormon has returned to QPAC's Glasshouse Theatre, with performances now underway through to 4 October 2026.
The production — winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical and a Grammy for Best Musical Theatre Album — follows a pair of mismatched Mormon missionaries sent to a remote village in Uganda. It features book, music and lyrics by Trey Parker, Matt Stone and Robert Lopez, the team behind South Park, Frozen and Coco.
The Cast
The 2026 Australian company is led by Sean Johnston (Hairspray) as Elder Price and Nick Cox (Beauty and the Beast) as Elder Cunningham. They are joined by Paris Leveque, making her professional debut as Nabulungi; Tom Struik (Sister Act the Musical) as Elder McKinley; Simbarashe Matshe (Filthy Business) as Mafala Hatimbi; Augie Tchantcho, reprising his role as The General; and Matthew Hamilton (Tina – The Tina Turner Musical) as Mission President.
Tickets and Performance Details
Tickets start from $69 (plus a $7.50 transaction fee) via QTIX, QPAC's official ticketing service. The show runs approximately 2 hours 30 minutes including interval.
QPAC advises that best availability is from Tuesday, 1 September. Group discounts are available for adult, concession and school groups of 10 or more.
The production contains explicit language and content, strobe lighting, flashing lights, smoke, haze, gunshots and effects. Parental discretion is advised. Everyone, regardless of age, must have their own ticket, and anyone aged 16 or under must be accompanied by an adult.
A Record-Breaking Run
The Australian premiere season in Melbourne in 2015 broke the record for the highest-selling on-sale period of any production in the Princess Theatre's 159-year history and won the Helpmann Award for Best Musical.
The show's most recent Melbourne season closed on 19 July 2026 ahead of the Brisbane transfer, having sold nearly 230,000 tickets. It set a new record for the most tickets sold in a single day at the Princess Theatre in the last five years.
