Brisbane's inner-city voice since 2014
Back to the Beginning, Ozzy Osbourne's last concert and the final Black Sabbath show, is out on 4K Blu-ray, CD, double vinyl and digital on 11 December 2026. Here is every edition.
Ozzy Osbourne's last concert is coming home. The 5 July 2025 show at Villa Park in his hometown of Birmingham, where he played alongside the original Black Sabbath lineup for the first time in more than 20 years, will be released on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, CD, double vinyl and digital on 11 December 2026. Pre-orders are open now.
Osbourne died 17 days after the show. Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward joined him for what Universal describes as the band's final performance. Jason Momoa hosted, Tom Morello was musical director, and the bill included Metallica, Guns N' Roses, Slayer, Pantera, Tool, Anthrax, Gojira and Lamb of God. Universal says the 44,000 tickets drew more than three million requests.
The concert film, Ozzy Osbourne & Black Sabbath: Back to the Beginning, opened in cinemas worldwide in October through Trafalgar Releasing. "Back to the Beginning was a once-in-a-lifetime event that will go down in music history," says Sharon Osbourne, who managed Ozzy and executive-produced the film.
Universal is releasing the film and soundtrack in several formats through Mercury Studios.
The film runs for three and a half hours, with highlights from the July 5 show. On the Blu-ray, Jack Black takes on "Mr. Crowley" and Fred Durst "Changes". There is also a behind-the-scenes featurette, tribute clips from the likes of Dolly Parton, AC/DC and Ricky Gervais, and a "Sounds of Birmingham" documentary.

The digital live soundtrack lists nine songs: "I Don't Know", "Mr. Crowley", "Suicide Solution", "Mama, I'm Coming Home", "Crazy Train", "War Pigs", "N.I.B.", "Iron Man" and "Paranoid". Ozzy's "Mr. Crowley", with its video, is out now.
A deluxe box set follows on 23 April 2027, and pre-orders are open. It holds three Blu-rays, including a bonus disc that runs through all 35 songs from the day in concert order, from Ozzy and Black Sabbath as well as the guests' covers. There are also two CDs and three 180g black vinyl LPs, one each for Ozzy, Black Sabbath and nine covers by the day's guests.
The box adds a 72-page hardback book with interviews, a numbered certificate of authenticity, an Ozzy pendant necklace and a film poster art print.
