By Nicholas Blake·10 October 2026·3 min read

Every fight at BKFC Fight Night Australia ended in a stoppage at Eatons Hill Hotel, with Josh Kuhne finishing the main event in 58 seconds and Mel Tolone's 41-second knockout the quickest of the night.

Every fight at BKFC Fight Night Australia ended in a stoppage on Saturday 3 October, with Gold Coast welterweight Josh "Kamikaze" Kuhne finishing the main event in 58 seconds in front of a sold-out Eatons Hill Hotel, according to the promotion.

Kuhne sent Adelaide's Shaun "Fighting Irish" Curran to the canvas three times before the fight was waved off in round one. Curran was making his BKFC debut.

Kuhne is now 2-0 in the Squared Circle, and both wins have come by stoppage. In his post-fight interview he said he hoped it would earn him a place on the BKFSea Bruise Cruise, which runs from 22 to 25 January 2027: "I'm happy, I'm healthy, and I'm going to sell those tickets for the Bruise Cruise, baby!"

Brisbane's Mark "Bam Bam" Flanagan took the co-main event, knocking out Auckland's Kaylib Heke in the second round of their heavyweight bout. Heke accepted the fight earlier in the week as a short-notice replacement. Flanagan, who fought for a World Boxing Association title in his previous career as a professional boxer, moves to 1-1 under the BKFC banner and said he is aiming for a place in BKFC's World's Baddest Man Tournament.

It was a strong night for the home crowd. Brisbane heavyweight Mel "The Revenant" Tolone needed only 41 seconds to knock out Ricky Rowles-Brown in his BKFC debut, the quickest finish of the night. Brisbane's Mario "Hand Grenade" Loga dropped Alvin Kanehailua three times and won in 47 seconds, also on debut, and Brisbane's Timothy Randel opened the card with a first-round knockout of Ahmad Muhtaseb. Elsewhere, Logan's Hunter Ioane stopped Luke Bampton with one second left in round one to go 2-0, Victoria's Santo Joma beat Brisbane's Viktor Lyall in round two, and Gold Coast lightweight Mick Whitehead stopped Brisbane's Ryan Winnett in the fourth round.
